I remember a time when brands were brands, and each had its qualities, good and bad, but you could really choose what you liked.
I remember people who wanted a Norton for its performance and those who wanted a BMW Boxer because it didn't give them any problems. I remember the Opel Manta, the Lancia Stratos, the Fiat Dino, and a ton of cars with a real identity. And not just vehicles.
Nowadays, there's a scandal because the prices of luxury brands manufactured in China have been published... Really? Do you really not know what you're buying? It's just a brand with nothing to back it up; they live off their history, nothing current. And you're surprised? Well, you don't know how to buy.
Well, times have changed. I don't know if they'll ever change again, but I hope so.
