I ask as I've just been mixing up some more of my own - that gritty 'exfoliating' body scrub with bits of apricot shell in it, and cheap own brand washing up liquid.

Brings hands up a treat after an oily afternoon in the workshop! :P

And they smell nice....and the antibacterial action in the washing up liquid helps if your tyres were covered in dog ****....

The body scrub can be expensive, so I tend to hope I get given it in toiletries sets at Christmas - let's face it, I'm never going to use it for it's intended purpose, am I....

What do others use that isn't 'standard' Swarfega?

Always used washing up powder and washing up liquid it worked rather well, mind you if you had a cut it stung like hell

Sugar and wash up liquid.

Old skool.

I think you need to use anti-bac washing up liquid for it to be anti-bac.

Yeah, I mean the anti-bac stuff, even the cheap ones seem to be nowadays... :D

Washing powder, now there's an idea, although it might aggravate my eczema. And sting like hell as you say if you've got the usual chainring induced injuries....
