Anyone been out for a ride today?

Had a really short ride today, down the green lane and through the woods to the old water mill and back, just to check all is well with the Kona before Saturdays run in Dalby. Still no sign of the chain coming off that single front ring- fingers crossed!
Didn't mind the cold until I got home. Our place has oil fired heating and we ran out last night. It heats the water as well as the house so I had to have a cold shower (and I mean COLD- the water is drawn from a spring).
All is well now, I'm sat in front of a roaring log fire with a Baileys.

2000K? so you've only had em a month? ;)

do a search on the various forums, they're getting mixed reviews... but hey if they work well for you then happy days :D

The King pair you have would be a better bet! I know, if I sell the Lightning might have a look.

Went out yesterday, great ride but bottles froze solid half way round, and freezing fog spoilt the views, 2nd pic is a great view of the River Humber from the start of the Wolds normally :D

Not commuted for a few months as I cross a field and at 7:20AM it's pitch dark and fully of muddy ruts... Plus, it's a bit parky for that palaver, no? :)
Followed the nipper around the block a few times in negative temperatures on NYE and now have a stinking cold and cough for my troubles. More fuel on my "Does you more harm than good, breathing in freezing air" fire.

Seriously though, what has struck me moreso this year is that there are a few folks daft enough to bike to work in the ice/fog/dark (assuming they don't have to) and very few of them are adequately lit. And plenty without lids - old blokes too, ones who should know better!

Do I sound old?
