Listed as ‘Kona Single Speed Fixed Commuter’, the seller claims it’s an Explosif rebuilt with track dropouts, a respray and Kilauea decals. Sounds a bit dubious, doesn’t it?

But in fact it is an Explosif. You can just about see the fluting along the down tube and you can easily see the bulge-butted seat tube that prove that it is a 93 or 94 Explosif, made with a mix of Tange Ultimate and Concept tubes. I’ve asked the seller for the length of the top tube to confirm the date, but I suspect it’s a 94.
It’s actually a very nice bike if you’re into single speed.
