Any body used the chainreaction returns service?

Yep, spot on and quick too.

Also, I bought a bike for the mum in law for Xmas, flat spotted on a rim as the tyre was flat, looked to be dropped in th box.

Returns were great:
Take it to bike shop, we'll pay for truing.
Not possible, rim bent inwards.
We'll send you a replacement.
Do you want the old one back?
Nah, keep it.

Two new wheels arrived, tyres and all. Brilliant.

I took 3 spokes out of the old rim, wrapped it in a tea towel and smacked it with a rubber mallet, straight rim! 2 Spare wheels.

Winning!

I have returened some defective 661 gloves. Could have been me, but the velcro strap stictching came off after 2 uses. Sent back - full refund. Nice!

Normally though, they just say keep it and we will refund you to me! I guess most of my purchases arent hugely expensive. I think it says to use standard mail but i go recorded anyway.

I've returned several items over the past few years either as a result of me ordering the wrong thing, CRC sending the wrong item or in one case, a pair of 661 shoes which broke after six months light use.

Each time I've found them to be quick, fair and efficient when dealing with returns.

I even got a brand new pair of the same shoes as a replacement after sending the others back for inspection.

They will usually refund your initial order and then ask you to just re-order online for any replacements.

Which reminds me I have to send some brake levers back to them.

They didn't refund return postage for me when I didn't want something because of an incomplete description.

That was annoying as under distance selling regs they should for the reason involved but I wasn't prepared to argue over it for a few quid.

I was wanting a Sigma Wireless computer, I checked out their cheapest one (like wired with no features) and they had put the discription and photos for the most expensive wireless one in the ad. I didn't realise the mix up at the time. I ordered it and couple days later when I got it, it was the cheap one. I emailed them explaining what had happened and pointed them to their mistake. I even offered to pay the difference to get the good one. They didn't ask any questions and sent out the top computer to me and I returned the cheap one! I paid for the return shipping and told them not to worry about the refund on that even though they offered.

For the record, I bought a set of cranks just before Christmas but they weren't what I was after; so I resealed the box stuck on their returns sticker and filled in the relevant info, took parcel to my nearest collect+ shop, was given a receipt and tracking number and refund was back in my Paypal account with a few daze. Really can't fault the service :)

I've had no problems - prompt, no fuss and polite. I've been uisng them for well over 10 years.
Recently I bought a Pace RC80 b/b. It arrived and had a sticker stating it had been fitted to a display bike although this was not mentioned at the point of sale. I contacted CRC and within the day they'd sorted a suitable discount (I said I didn't want to return the b/b).
Top result :)

Yes. Works a treat. Just waiting for the refund to my pp a/c :D
Just wish CRC sold more 'weight weenie' parts then i'd use them more
