Another round of name the frame

I've been tripping over this frame for a while now and it needs to make its way to a large internet auction site so it would be good to try and ID it :)

Its possibly French, was originally fitted with mafac cantilever brakes, stronglight crank. It has Huret forged drop outs on the forks. Four digit number under the BB '2124'. The curved rear brake bridge seems unusual, probably low end but just wondered if anyone could put a name to the frame?

Thank you, interesting pointer. I've done a fair bit of googling and I can see why you've suggested Gitane. I've not found a match but a bit of info came up about 'nervor forks' with huret drop outs, something Gitane seemed to use quite a lot. They appear to be nervor forks on the frame although I'll have to strip them out to confirm.
