Another paypal rant

I bought and paid for a laptop on ebay on xmas day.
I wanted the laptop delivered before nye as I needed it to run some software at a gig.
I paid straight away by following the usual paypal link from ebay, but they gave the seller an address I haven't used for 6 years!
It's still in my paypal account, as only they can delete it, but it hasn't been used since I moved.
My current address is my confirmed one so didn't ever see that having an old address in the system would be an issue.
Now my laptop is sat in a post office in London and I have to wait for them to return to sender and hope that the seller will re-post it (at my cost).
Paypal are being completely un-helpful and have refused any possibility of refunding me the postage costs.
Tossers!

I'm in the same position concerning addresses. They have kept all my addresses and i can't find a way to delete the old addresses. So have to be very careful when buying that the correct address & paypal id is used :x

PP are happy to keep the old details

I managed to add mine then make it primary then delete the old one with no trouble a couple weeks ago.

I think this is possible, as longs as you do it right away.
I've had multiple addresses since so the one they used doesn't even show up in my account without some serious searching!
Another lesson learnt the hard way

It'll be back!
Probably when you're awaiting something pricey and urgent.
