Here we go.

Fancy Nervex lugs
126mm spacing
27.2 seatpost
Carlton style wrap over seat stays.
Campagnolo ends, from what I can make out.
bosses for d/t shifters and one bottle cage.
Mudguard eyes.
No other brazings

Frame number 1183 on frame and fork

The odd thing is it has canti studs and is transfered up as a Condor, but it looks resprayed. Could it be a Condor, I thought they were engraved?

700c wheels fit and the serial number suggests a shop build?

Hi, there is no reason not to believe that the frame is a condor from the late sixties or early seventies. You can get this confirmed by condor them selves, they are very helpful. Condor used numerous excellent builders, sub'ing out most of the work, this example I would guess is just after the Hurlow years, 1968 was the last year he built for condor. The pro lugs point to a quality but fairly standard build, but the nice wrapover, the bridge and rear brake treatments, they do raise the bar a bit higher. Just some thoughts. Terry

Yes that wrap over seems very well defined doesn't it.
The lugs are Nervex Professional. The seatpost is actually 26.8.

The 126mm spacing seems to point to a little later?

Lack of pump bosses also point a little later.

It's an odd one.

Is there a fork boss for a light ? where do the cables run around the bottom bracket...

Just as curious as you. especially with what look like brazed on cantilever brakes........ continental?

Shaun

Hi

No lamp boss on the forks. And the cable guides are on top of the BB shell, not underneath.

And yes they are canti studs.

When you say 'continental' is that a make or model, or do you mean made on the continent?
