Well, thanks to finding this site a few weeks ago my long dormant interest in mountain biking has been rekindled. As a result of this I decided to dust off my Dogs Bolx, which had been gathering dust in the garage for the last 15 years.

Next step will be to strip it down and start renovating.

Sorry about the saddle, I always favoured comfort and quite liked the idea of having kids someday.

Unfortunately I can’t see me riding it again anytime soon, let’s just say that subjecting the frame to my current bulk would probably result in some radical new frame geometry!

By the way, I got it in March 1994 if memory serves me right.

I have taken some shots in soft focus as well, but they’re just for me.

Bolx

That's a beaut Johnboy I'm loving the blue/purple fade!
I hope You're not planning on selling it (yours from new)!
But I can already hear the vultures circling!

Thanks! But let's nip that one in the bud straight away, there is absolutely NO chance I'm going to sell it. This was something I planned for for a long time and I'm learning to appreciate it all over again. Sorry guys, it's mine!

Yes

That's what I like to hear!
I've got my first bike too & I'll never sell it!

Nice.

Same colourway as my Rascal, except mine fades purple to blue...!

BB, purple to blue fade? What on earth possessed you I've never heard of such a thing :D

On the subject of paint, does anybody know what became of this guy, he used to work in the Banstead area of Surrey and I only ever knew him as Spike, he's the one who painted the frame for me. It could probably do with a bit of touching up once I get it stripped (couldn't we all!)
