a known banned driver, working next door with the landlord (and builder) of the local pub.

He's banned from driving, yet his car is out the front having clearly been driven here.

His car's foreign registered and he drives like a twat at the best of times...

I let the police know but because he's foreign, they dont care.

It really sucks - someone who is effectively an unregistered driver. Bet they will be more interested if they then commit a hit and run. The sad fact is that this would fit the profile.

There are some frustrating times with the Police at the moment.

A colleague of mine received a £60 AND 3 points on his licence yesterday in town, for stopping outside a clients office and waited for them to run some keys out to him. I am still trying to get my head round it.

pickle . sadly it was 5mins work for a chunk of revenue . going after the guy in the wrong is a lot of work with little pay out

an old mate of mine spent some time hooning around country lanes at 3am in a rs turbo i sold him . no license , no insurance , no tax , no mot . when he was eventually stopped for being a hairy yeti in a shiny red chav car the biggest concern wasnt the lack of a license ( he was a driving god who just didnt bother getting one ) it was the tax ! the car could have been held together with sellotape and he could have had the skills of a monkey but all they cared about was the £££

he was sweating the court verdict for ages expecting to never be able to drive again but got a £1000 fine and a year ban . not much of a deterrent , my quote for a years worth of insurance for that car at the time was near £2k

Too annoying for words.
When i had a load of stuff stolen from my garden including a set of alloys, they wernt bothered whatsover.... i had description of the van, they were scrap metal people. All the police had to do was go down the local weigh in place and probably find my stuff.... they couldn't be arsed.... apparently no CCTV footage...

youre probably right there! My brother got his R21 Turbo MOT's after being off the road for a while, but he can't tax it yet as the old owner never sent off the flipping form, so he's stuffed for 6 weeks at least while DVLA right to him, thing is, he never SORN'd the car anyway so i doubt he'll reply.... what you supposed to do... stupid system.
