Some of our post ride pub talk last night hung for while on what colour my new slightly smaller (at the time soon to be aquired (it was still on eBay with 2hrs to go!) Yo Eddy was going to be...

What we couldn't agree on was if it was more properly called lilac or lavender (defo not. purple, or pink as some suggested!)

There's a picture of a similar one in the galleries e.g Cheddar retro meet 04. if that helps.

Got a feeling it was a team colour too?

FAT colour

Ah Violet :!:  :!: brilliant.

Sounds much better than (ahem) lavender too... 8)

Hadn't considered that at all.
Looks wicked too, in those pics of the amazing Shockabilly.
Also good to see confimation that purple anodising looks good alongside it.

ta,

Was it this one on ebay :?: I was gutted about this one :? I've just bought too much lately  if it had come a week earlier or later I would have paid a lot more than it went for but I'm skint until Thursday :(

ta,

go & buy a milka chocolate bar, FAT violet paint was custom mixed to match the milka bar wrapper (so wendyl told me) with a light overspray of metallic red :)

sorry tangent, was bidding you up there! You still got a good price though. Would have been different if it was my size, a M....

YO

Yup it is the frame illustrated above from the recent auction.

Well fancy that, not to worry Gump, cost stayed in my 'comfort zone' Am really really pleased that have a Yo in the correct size for me at last. and in what seems on screen to be a particularly groovy colour 8)

It also saved me from getting tempted by the 10th Anniv. that's out there at the moment... Looked for a Homer Simpson style drooling emiticon but couldn't find one!

Expect I'll post some pics once it arrives, build wise it'll be very similar to others FATs I've posted up in the past...but until I see it I'm not sure.

The seller was suggesting it may have been a team bike for a time due to some odd Paul componetry cantis; I'll post the frame nos on Fat Cogs Register and see if anyone knows anything further :?:
