Trig is actually a nice ride. As long as you don't mind hauling about 30lb uphill when you need to. Other than that it really is quite good. Early air FS, xt mechs, avid brakes, plenty to look at....

On the downhills it's superb. Higher def pic to drool over. Think I missed a trick with the black rear mech cable outer.

No still got the orange. Brake outer starts purple in homage to the saracen e stay, then orange. Needs more yellow?

Rourke has straight through cable bosses so have found some stepped ferrules. How did you others manage?

I used stepped ferules which came with the frame from GTsteve and were passed on. Also passed on was a Surly cable hanger for the back brake, as I was using (modern) cantis.

Me again!

Just been out with the boss to Sainsburys (kill me now) and popped in to Evans on the way past. Sale on. Anyway went to the service counter and asked about stepped ferrules. The first two youngsters looked blank, asked what they were for and went and found the old guy at the back who went off to his cabinet and produced a multitude in various sizes. Nice chat about what they were for etc. I now have exactly the ones I need and a few spares, FREE OF CHARGE!!!!!!!
