Even though I say it myself, thus is soooooooo beautiful.

Rides very sharp and responsive. Had the seat too far forward on the rails and was out over the front. Once back it was lovely. Just a pootle tonight as tea was nearly ready. will give it a proper one tomorrow weather permitting. Feels really tight and stiff but not in a bad way. Forks have lots of flex which softens the front enough. Can see them tuck in when you grab a handful of brakes!

Risers work so staying. Sorry.

Anybody know what it would cost to chrome the forks?

Still tempted to drop in the red 517s :facepalm:

The more I look the more the saddle looks clumpy. Comfy though.

There are lots of comfy saddles that don't look quite so substantial.

Try a Madison Flux or a Charge Spoon.

Not sure if anyone will chrome an old pair of forks but you can get chrome powder coat . Maybe worth considering . Charge spoons are comfy , I do find it most comfortable when im sat on the back part . Forget riding on the rivet , not so comfortable. Oh and a nice set of black cantis would look good , like the nos set I got today

What was wrong with the saddle?

Well it's a bit clumpy, thick, bulky, bulbous and detracts from the light ethereal nature of the rest of the bike.



So I've changed it for one of these of which I have a few. Minus the ass saver. Took it off again and painted rails satin black.

And I've ordered an 853 decal from Reynolds.

Might be a bit of a clash though.
