a rather quaint Peugeot 'Black Rock' with 500/300LX mix - just needs wheels to complete - and, a shimano m730 XT front hub.

Ah yes, a Basta front light... bump bump bounce smash....

oh, and a set of Ritchey clipless which I havent seen in years


I am now just a 32h rear hub away from a complete M730 groupset!

Anyway, the Pug brings back misty memories of BITD stuff - anyone else?

You must live in an affluent area if thats the quality of kit that gets put in the dump !

My recent find was a 23.5 inch framed Triumph Tempest road bike which is just a rebadged hi-tensile steel Raleigh from the mid 80's. Nothing classy in the drivechain at all. Where I live is ex mining with a high council house ratio, nothing decent was ever bought here and even if it was it would not find its way to the tip.

Reminded me somewhat embarrassingly of my first (fake) MTB - a Day-Glo yello Pug with I think 200GS gruppo

Wouldn't find anything like that in skips and tips around here.....there's people taking it out as fast as it goes in
