and another bargain just gone...

This section works much better if you post up the links before the auction ends...

plus, I don't think that's much of a bargain for an old beat cinder cone...wasn't that an entry level Kona?

It's a 1988/89 size 16 Cinder Cone, and size 16s were made really quite small back then.

Depending on the condition, I would say a 1988/89 Cinder Cone should raise £100-150 if properly described and offered with postage from the outset. Factor in the size 16 aspect, and maybe £80-120.

This is one of the original Kona range and I find it surprising that the early Konas don't fetch more, but I think people aren't interested in retro for its own sake, or for historical interest in any way. The interest seems to be just utilitarian, and the first ranges of bikes weren't as good as the later ones.

I was looking for Tange forks the other day and came across the cindercone but saw CTK had already put it up when i came on here to spill the beans..

so thanks for the advice TP but not really necessary and the GT i saw with very little time left so didn't bother posting up then missed it myself!

if you snooze you lose!
