Old School Grand Master
Certianly within the members sale section we try wherever possible to go by the rules which practice largely..if you can't say anything good then don't say anything at all...the ebay section on the other hand
The comparison with newer bikes as not applicable because this is not a newer bike and is as the forum title suggests..retro
On that understanding these will be bikes that actually mean more and have a heart and soul than the more modern mass produced fodder
most newer bikes will perform generally better than say some retros but there in lies where we are...we know that
but if your standard is "this newer one is better" then you have not understood retro bike or why we seek to ensure cyclings history is continued
It's like saying tescos wine will still get me pissed at 4 pound a bottle so why spend say 15 a bottle..it loses why people have more of a passion than just my bike is better than your bike ner ner na ner ner...and yess Harry I did finally get it
Those commencals, modern paces etc are unlikely to last 30 plus years or be sought after as they were nothing other than cannon fodder
This amp like most retros has history, a level of build that has taken time and at it's inception pushed some boundaries that others seem to have forgotten
I am sure the seller is wise enough to know the pricing strategy and if that is what they want for it at the momment then it's their bike...personallly I like it and if I was looking for an amp and had that kind of money spare then yes I would be talking to the seller
Retro as mentioned is very subjective and that is why within the members sale section the general nod is not to comment on price unless the person is unsure and is seeking help to establish a sale price
