I never understood the way society is moving nowdays... how can humiliation and encouragement to grass and expose someone is a substitute for education, respect and tolerance ? This "easier way" will have much more evil consequences in the future than the ones they're trying to fight.

This were the type of tools used by fascist regimes. I've posted this same statement on another topic in rb, and ill say it again. I don't know if its ignorance on history, but some reading would definitely help.

Parents prepare the snacks, they are the ones who need the extra nudge. Not forcing kids into humiliation, in the hope that they will go back home and say......'' oh mummy daddy, why can't i be like all the other nice children who don't get told off........please get a better job and tell the supermaket to stop selling over salted / sugared processed food stuffs so i can take quality food to school and intergrate better into society ''

No it's not that simple...............

Start with the basic wage AND PRICE OF FOOD

Food manufactuers

The supermarkets

The parents

Given how much we hear about schools trying to stamp out bullying, this appears to be exactly what that porkmeister of a headmaster is doing!
A fine example!
A polite word with him mentioning the local paper should do the trick!
Or how about a chat with the school governors?

Meat and burnt toast is a cause of.... Heart desease, bowel cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer etc....

But that self same headteacher would happily feed his pupils processed meats by the gristly dollop full everyday I would Imagine? Maybe he should be asked the question, what constitutes a healthy diet?

Education not humiliation is the key to a healthy future for kids.

Thanks for the responses people :D

Since this all started all parents have been issued with a letter stating that anybody using Facebook or any other social networking site to belittle the school will have legal action taken against them via the LEA legal team

I really, really want to drop kick this muppet down the road but i'll start with a polite chat raising my concerns :?

In response to the one dude who has expressed a negative response, i can only assume you get regularly humiliated in public and don't want the rest of us to feel left out.
But targeting young children in this way is just plain wrong

Its almost worth forcing the issue and goading them into legal action. It would cost them a fortune, would be unbelievably bad PR and as long as what's said on FB was true, they would lose.

If i'd received a warning letter, they'd be getting one by return simply worded 'see you in court'.

I am amazed, at the letter concerning facebook.

I think my next port of call would be a letter to the head, in response to his, backed up with my own suggestion of legal proceedings, especially if my child was subjected to said Humiliation.

The Family Lawyer i use would have a field day.

Pm me name of the school and i would be happy to pen a letter and blanket the redtops for you.

I think we should actively encourage humilliation, talking nicely isn't making the nation any thinner is it?
It's not just to prevent fat kids, it won't be long before a link is proven between the shit doled out as "snacks" and hyperactivity disorders etc.

How about the link between eating animals and cancer?

I don't eat cancer, nor do i encourage kids to.

.

I've penned an e-mail to the LEA outlining a 'hyperthetical' event.
Which goes to ask if the actions/event would fit in with their guidelines.
If their response is that it would/does not he'd better look out :?

Yes, it is happening, but people don't notice and are all too keen to poo poo such ideas in Britain of all places, I mean, it can't happen here, yet, what are we seeing....

But it is usual people don't see anything until that is it happens to them.
