And what about the kids who eat healthily, but then spend all evening and weekend on their Xstations playing games? Is that any healthier that a kid having a bag of crisps as a treat, but who is out on their bike exercising?
And ask them how is this behaviour compatible with the schools bullying policy? How many of the teachers are overweight, or smoke, or drive big cars polluting your air? I'd be doing my pieces chum - schools should stick to teaching kids knowledge, not trying to right the ills of a society that are probably quite happy with things as they are anyway.
If they'd made me stand up in front of the school to explain why I had 3 unhealthy snacks on the trot I'd say "because they taste f***ing lovely, that's why!"

i teach this as most know and am shocked...id never tell this to the kids.balance is all about looking where u are going ..not the bike u ride..
ps when they pass in my lessons the schools are very happy that they ride to school..crock indeed...

On first reading the original post, i was sure it was a wind up or leading to a joke.
Whilst i understand the need for our nations children to grow up Healthy, i think the Headmaster, and all the board of School governors, need a polite phone call, to voice your Opinion as a Concerned Parent.
If this mature approach to this CHILDISH nonsense, is not taken on board by the Head and the rest of the school Body, i would follow it up with letters, if this conduct was then still to persist, then the gloves would be off.
The next step for me would be to publicly shame the school, for a start i would use every type of avenue i could find, for example Facebook, Twitter, even standing at the school gates handing out flyers informing other parents of whats really going on, because i bet half of them havent a clue, or are too afraid to make a fuss on there own.
It only takes one Man to take the Lead, Make a stand......if all else fails use the media, phone the redtops, they would have a field day with it.

FMJ, love the lard marketing board stuff. I still occasionally leave a pack of lard in random departments at the supermarket; just to keep them on their toes.
Teachers hate people correcting them. My daughter had her homework marked as wrong because she answered that the Earth is an elipse. Apparently it is round! Got a load of tripe in response basically telling me to sod off. Just wait until some homework is marked with bad grammar. Believe it or not, a teacher once marked homework with a comment along the lines of, "These examples are to obvious." It pained me even to write that.
