Thanks for the responses people :D

Since this all started all parents have been issued with a letter stating that anybody using Facebook or any other social networking site to belittle the school will have legal action taken against them via the LEA legal team

I really, really want to drop kick this muppet down the road but i'll start with a polite chat raising my concerns :?

In response to the one dude who has expressed a negative response, i can only assume you get regularly humiliated in public and don't want the rest of us to feel left out.
But targeting young children in this way is just plain wrong

What happens if i go on facebook and whinge like a mother hubbard about some school using humiliation to shame pupils into eating healthy, pushed by some fat head teacher who say's "do as i say not as i do" ?

scan the letter, post it on facebook :D

This.

Red rag to a ******* bull

That's free speech they are trying to interfere with. I would immediately post the letter and any non libellous information about these events on Facebook and twitter and then advise the school you have done so and invite thier response. They is **** all they can do about that.

I (my wife :P ) sends my little girl to school with packed lunch always with fruit and yogurt and the school encouragEs us to send in extra fruit as further communal snacks for the children during the day. However I think nothing of giving chocolate crisps and whatever 'junk food' to my kids, only that it must be in moderation, like any other 'vice'.

I would not like to be the teacher involved in actively humiliating my children

If the government were so concerned about our health, they'd have a minimum size regulation on the nutrition content of food labels. :x

...and reduce taxes too, as they prevent me from having a nice and quiet sleep. ;D

silverclaws: yap, the hints are everywhere, its a shame everyone is so busy trying to get there fight across for a "greater cause" that they totally forget or ignore the sort of speech made by the same guys we now see as evil dictators.

example on a controversial topic that is accepted by everyone minus the fact of who the actual precursor was:

.

I wonder what would happen if i sent my daughter in with Coca Cola Zero(other cola's are available) in a normal drinks bottle?
Would i have to prove it wasn't proper Coke?

The more i think about it the more bizzare it seems to become
