alpinestars elevated stay rear disc brake conversion

i have seen a few pictures of disc conversion on alpinestars eos bikes, on the rear the disc hits the frame, one person cut part of the frame away to fit disc brakes. Would like to know of any other options available and your views.

sinnett 177 (.mark) did an awsome disc conversion on one of his cromegas, i think cutting the rear stay is the only way you will be able to fit a disc in due to clearance needed for the disc

mark is avery knowledgable and helpfull fella who knows a great deal about alpinestars, worth asking him some questions.
