alpinestars elevated stay front mech

anyone know the correct name for the front mechs fitted to alpinestars frames in the early 90`s, mine is a cro-mega lx from 92 with the elevated stay.

Not sure whether there was a correct name, but from memory the type you want is the endless band type, but you won't need the band as it mounts directly to the lug on the frame, through the clamp section of the mech....

Of course I could be wrong, it's been a while...

You were almost there - the correct term is 'band-on' front mech...
