Bought in 1993 for my wife who's 4ft 11ins tall. If memory serves me right it did the Camel trail and was then banished to the garage where it's languished for 18 years.
The groupset is low spec as you can see.
Paint has dulled a bit and some evidence of bubbling under the paint in places but nothing serious.

Shimano Altus A20 brakes and shifters
Altus A10 front mech
Altus A20 rear mech
Altus A20 cranks
Alpinestars 4130 cromoly forks
Exage hubs
Ritchey Mod-Quad tyres
I think you can see pretty much everything else in the pictures.

I'm looking for £60 and would prefer collection as I have no suitable packaging, I'm in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

I hope you don't think this is a bit of a cheek putting it on Retrobike, I know it's not exactly a bike you're all going to lust after, but it's all original apart from the grips and in good nick considering it's age and I wouldn't think you've seen many of these around :) (I bet it wins Septembers BoTM now!). It would obviously suit someone of more diminutive stature and also has the distinction of being one of the last bikes Alpinestars produced before their MTB demise.

I have higher resolution photos on Photobucket if you’re interested, but I can’t put the link here because I haven’t had five posts yet and for the life of me I can’t find a way to get around it. PM me if you want the link.

Hi, I could be very interested in this, Mrs Bob is also only 4'11" ... Has this got 24" or 26" wheels, looking through old posts on here and catalog scans they seems to vary on wheel size :?
Cheers, Bob
