Nice bike - same model I had back in '92... 8)

They ride great - mine are in my thread here'abouts...

You'll soon find all the parts you want here on the Forum :D

Wheel wise I'd get some nice Mavics on LX hubs, whatever you think you can afford - loads on eBay but better deals to be had on here. Shifters? Deore thumbies, ditto...

...and probably better to get a decent saddle too - plenty of inspiration on here;

Well, Flite, Turbo or Avocet really... :wink:

PS;

Don't be put off by the lack of replies to your thread - despite the large World-wide membership of this Forum there are actually very few people who bother to post anything, especially to Newbies, which can make us seem 'unfriendly.'

The majority of members who would have replied are currently up in the Peak District, no doubt enjoying the pub quiz round about now... :D

Nice bike!, how do those oversize steel frame elevated stay bikes handle compare to a traditional double diamond frame? Does the Bottom bracket flex on granny gear climbs?

point it down that nice tight single track and its telepathic dont ride it think it
feels about 14" long ,and makes you feel like a fool as it will go so much faster than you

yep that is lovely, reminds me of one I sold on here a while ago.

Rode lovely, climbed really well, and yours looks to have loads of lovely 'patina' about it's tubes, too.. 8)
