No worries Silverfish, seems a shame to split but it's looking more likely at the moment. I'll leave it one more week to see if there is any more interest in the complete bike, but to achieve the money I'm after - it looks like the split is inevitable.

Spike3. I've no idea on exact weight of the seat post but it is pretty light. The 'S' from the Shannon is missing on one side. I've no idea if it would fit your '92 model but there's a wealth of knowledge here, someone with the same model would probably know. This one is a 31.6mm btw.

You know what this one was like when you sold it to me! - it's been a rewarding project to return this to top condition, I just can't warrant keeping too many bikes at the moment. Was back in the saddle for the 1st time yesterday btw...
