Alpinestar??? Help Identify

This just appeared for sale locally, claiming to be a 1984 Alpinestar, was there such a thing back in 1984? Or even '94, I remember the older e-stay alpinestars, but don't recognize this, of course the pic isn't that great.

Comments? Worth A follow up?

I think I just found it.... 1991/2 T-24 or T-26 Hmmmmm....

How much is it?

Its a 1992 al-mega XT T-26, T meaning the frame shape and 26 because of the wheel size.
