Unfinished project . I've run out of time , space and cash .
I have ridden this as it is for 25 miles or so up and down the steepest hills readily available {South Norwood Hill , Sydenham Hill and Central Hill} and it seems fine , actually very smooth . That said I only weigh 63kg and am no track cyclist ! I'm not happy with the UN55 bottom bracket in it I think it needs a Stronglight cup and cone bb to make it right. A threadless job would also work . I've put 2 different sealed bbs in it fine but the first couple of turns on the fixed side are a bit shabby .
Wheels are 27" . The rear rim is near the end of it's life and the front is not new ! I am including another set of wheels , Wolber on Suzue and 2 spare sets of tyres . The rear hub of the spare set is 6mm too wide . It was my intention to put the Wolbers on the Campag hubs that are on the bike now
There are no adjusters in the rear drop outs and the ferrule on chainstay is incorrect .
It has Weinmann 730/500 brakes so it hardly screams to a halt but slows down gently .
I'm being as brutally honest as I can .
Chainset is an early Stronglight bis 99 with the 23.35 extractor thread . 36-50t
Suntour Cyclone 2 derailleurs and levers and Perfect 14-28 freewheel .
Brooks Swift Special on a Campag twin bolt pin.
GB bars and 7cm stem .
