ALL SORTED!! Alpinestars B/Bracket Length?

Anyone know what B/B length to use on Cro Mege? i've got 122mm ready to fit! Is this too long? or is it the right size to clear the Stays once the Crank Arms are fitted?? (Mine are 175mm 1997 LX Arms)? :? :? :? :?

Sounds about right to me, depending on which cranks you have of course.

Is it an estay, or non-estay model?

Off the top of my head, my non-estay runs a 127mm with 1990 period DX cranks..

It's got the Elivated stays. I suppose when I fit it I should turn it "real" slow?? Should be ok though? Thanks

122mm sounds too long for a 1997 chainset, post the part number FC-MXXX etc. and I can tell you the right length.

Hi SP, the crank is an LX FC-M569 so would the 122mm B/B be ok? Or should I go smaller?? After tightening on (not yet!) it looks as though it will clear the Stays about 15mm?!?!

Hey thanks for that, it does help, I've loose fitted mine today as I've only just started my build after powder coating! It looks ok at the moment? So will keep the 122mm in for now

Got there in the end!! Thanks for all the help Guys! It was 113mm length B/B Bearing! Fits like a glove!
