I missed that new show, but I am an Avid fan so will catch up with it on ITV Player.

Don't really rate his panel show, far too much milking the boobies jokes.

The USA authorities, very much NOT the people, have far from a sterling record on 'dealing' with terrorists, unless you count making deals with active and wannabe terrorists.

It is not some 'radical' clerics we need to fear, it is the people who would put weapons in their hands were it in their interest.

Why on earth are we allowing the Taliban back in if we had a shred of belief in liberty and democracy?

Locking any number of terrorists in isolation for their lifetimes is not going to change the fact we have gone to war in several countries to no avail.

Terrorists/people who hype jihad or any other violence towards any race colour or creed should have there "human rights" removed

Whilst I welcome the movement on this case I do question why those charged with committing crimes in the UK are not being prosecuted here.

The British citizen, held in custody without charge for 8 years for running a UK based website, from his London address is now being shipped to an ultra high security facility in the US where solitary confinement is a normal practice.
Why is our legal system not able to handle this individual.

I am also more than slightly concerned about the precedence this sets for cases such as that of hacker Gary McKinnon or alleged illegal battery dealer Christopher Tappin.

It isn't unheard of for powers to be abused and freedoms to be overlooked, both the US and the UK can offer historic testimony to that.

Sorry to dampen the flag waving, air punching, whooping celebratory spirit around here. I just think in this victory, we have potentially lost something.

Rather controversial topic. The idea that we send people to the USA to receive justice is a little odd; given how little regard the US system has for human rights.

I reckon we ought to be looking at international courts trying some of these cases, and deciding where best incarceration might take place.
