Did Kirks ever come with anything higher than DX (and I thought that was pushing it a bit), only my personal view (and I fully accept being shot down here) but 'polishing a turd' springs to mind if you put XTR on that gate. I'd give it to the chap who really wants one!

assembled my Kirk Revolution with complete Shimano Deore XT gruppo in 1996

after years of storage i'm riding it now still with the originial parts

never ceases to amaze people

i say go for it

I say get a big bonfire going.

Get some welding goggles just in case it does have the desired effect.

Throw the frame on the fire and through the welding goggles watch the birth of a star in your own back yard.

please video the whole thing so that we know if the "kirk frame flame" is real!?!?!?!?!?!?! 8) :o

Do it up, Kirks are unique.

Ok, they may be the 'Marmite' of the retro world, but you must have liked it enough to buy it in the first place

depends on your need for the £££ I'd try selling and if un-sold then re-build :?:

Whatever you do, don't ride it. These frames track like cooked spagetti when they get old, and then snap!

Get a big course metal file, set to work until you have a nice big pile of silver powder.....

Then have some fun.

Otherwise, re-build with DX and be done with it. :D
