A couple of weeks ago i bought a 1995 Pinarello Stelvio that since new has only been ridden for 500km and then put away and forgotten, until i bought it from the original owner. I work in a small bike shop here in Denmark where they mostly used to work on MTB´s and everyday bikes until I got there. I brought a few customers with me, guys who ride road bikes. My boss saw the Stelvio and said: "that´s a nice bike, but why not buy a new carbon frame and build that up instead?" I told him that when I was an apprentice, i loved Steel road bikes, working and riding on them more than MTB´s since there was nowhere to ride MTB´s where my apprenticeship was located (flat as flat can be) A couple of days went by, and during a cleanup in the basement of the store, my boss comes up the stairs with a 2007 Pinarello Dogma frame with fork and seatpost, and says "here take this I want you to have it, you´ll give it the love it needs" Repainted, my size, left by a guy who used to work at the store, still a nice frame, for free! Needless to say, I love my job, and my boss!

Pics will follow as soon as i get decals for the Dogma frame, and the stelvio... still needs to be as I want it.

That's the story that THIS emoticon was designed for:

Nice to hear about that kind of thing - the sort of story that gives you a warm glow inside. Look forward to some pictures!
