I did end up using a whole can of Peel Tec to strip the GT forks!

Wow, although I have found it varies a lot based on the paint and the amount of clear coat. I stripped a 1930's Stephens and it took 2 cans, my Colnago took 2/3 of a can for frame and forks.....

Its a joke its all this water based eco freindly crap and they charge more for it your better off soda blasting or just sanding thats why i going to get a soda hopper and compresser then you can spray paint as well i know it more exspense but if you can pick up a secondhand compressor its not that bad especialy if you doing multiply bikes etc and if you live were i do cant get anything done its worth it saves paying someone plus postage thats why doing my own anodising as well just need to move house with a garage haha on paint stripper i tried to get that one they use on aeroplanes fron usa no chance

You have got me thinking, I have a small compressor for my airbrush, I wonder if it would be powerful enough to make a small media blaster

NO mate probably not it takes a lot of air to blast 100litre min or youll spend half the time waiting for it to refill and not enough air pressure to push the grit also say 3horsepower min thats what putting me off they really jump in price ftom 50l to 100l compressors the blasting pots are about £170 but with a bigger compressor you can paint spray as well which for the gear is about £50 like i said big out lay is compresser

Just a quick update, finished polishing the frame today, as it was raining all day it was a great opportunity to do this job.
It's not a super mirror finish, but I like the way it looks now. I have added an older photo for comparison.

Sorry, the floor is a bit messy, will be cleaning this weekend!
