When buying you get anoyed by prices being pushed up early

When selling you get anoyed by 50 watchers and noone bidding

To be honest, I think early bid items go for less usually, as they put (like this guy) people off. If only he could see it from that point of view, and as you said, swings and roundabouts for sellers/buyers.

Aye, early bids may put the price up, and certainly can 'eff up a decent BIN price, but it's a widely available public auction, so that happens- it it wasn't, ye'd have less available to buy, and the prices would be higher anyway.
