A no holds barred 'why I dont like' thread.

ZOMBIES: people who bring the living dead ( completely SH@GGED bikes ) to a ride expecting you, the ride leader, not just to fix but rebuild them.

ROYALTY: who officially never carry money...to the post-ride pub.

NATURISTS: who turn up b0ll0ck naked expecting you, muggins ride leader, to have a pump, tools, patches, tubes, etc.

THE FAECALLY INCONTINENT: they get lifts to muddy mountainbike centres, bring no bin liners to cover seats and then sh1t all over their mates' cars.

...and bar ends.

Maybe what perhaps this website has created a market for stolen bikes, once it was the old bikes were left alone even unlocked and nobody would touch them, as eww, who wants a crappy old rigid bike from the past, that thing is sick but now this is a market for retro bikes, the thieving scrotes that will nick anything, have now turned their attention to old bikes.

But look at ebay, my source of parts anything as it was pennies to buy now commands too high a price as retro bikes it appears is in.

All the keyboard warriors yet it's the same old people that turn up to the rides? :?

people who whinge about how much a bike shop charges for labour. would you complain about how much it costs to plaster a wall if you haven't tried to do it first?

people who don't own a tape measure. usefull for finding out measurements. say how wide your seat tube is.

people who insist canti's are as good as discs. just because they are good enough for your riding doesn't meen they are for someone elses

people who justyify riding retro by saying retro bikes are as good as modern bikes. no they are not. more fun and engaging to ride yes. as quick around smooth xc trails, maybe. suitable for some modern riding expectations, no.

people who get angry about spelling and punctuation on a mtb site. as long as you understand whats said then why worry?

edited for MY reasonings

Hmmm, will let this run for the time being but we need to keep things civil and in check. This was intended to be tongue in cheek and not just a chance for a little uncontested rant. I can kind of see LGF's initial idea but would probably suggest it's doomed to failure.
