My hubby, from the day he got pocket money in the early 70's always refused it, his sister and brother never did, but his mum every week used to right in a little book how much pocket money she owed him. Skip forward to the early 80's and my hubby became obsessed by owning a BBC Micro computer, then his mum said I have all the pocket money you refused stashed away and he was able to spend the £400 for his prised possession, it took him around 2 days to input a program just to get a rocket to go upwards and fall back down

Ah the wonders of technology.
