98 Fsr Bushes - advice needed please

A couple of evenings ago I set to rebush the rear frame on my fsr.

I found that most of the play was in the Shock bushes which I replaced.But having appropriate spares I thought I would check the rest.

It turns out they are all tight - in fact so tight that the metal pivots don't turn freely on the white nylon bushes. Is this how they are supposed to be? It seems to me that in fact the bolts are rotating in the frame rather than the bushes doing their job. What is the solution please?

i would have changed the bush and left it at that if the play was gone

no experience of the nylon bearings but tight would seem a good thing to me

Depends on what they are. Bushes generally are not 'meant' to turn, they are there for compliance and shock absorbing properties. Bearings are meant to turn to save the rotating components.

Which do you have.. bushes or bearings? (I'd suggest you have bushes).

he has the nylon bushes from circa 98, ,y frame had the betd roller bushes but now has the cartridge bearings

having seen what movement a tiny shock bush can create im thinking tight is a good thing with nylon bushes
