The story starts here ... my step dad had a yellow gt bike with Rock Shox forks .. it had been sat for a while and the deal was i could have it if I fixed it .. however I took it too the bike shop ( Clive Mitchell’s) and they said it would cost £80 to get right again .. so I sold it too a collector
Who had 12 ! Yes 12 and I thought I was happy with selling it too a good home.. However after looking into this bike I found this amazing place and my taste for retro bikes started and then I realised I needed another GT ! Here is a pic of said Yellow GT



A timberline later ( build also on this forum) and I found this local
to where I was on holiday .. !

My plans are to give it a clean and polish the frame and see how it comes out ! Maybe swap the forks out for some period Rock Shox ..

Would be cool to see your bikes the same !

this is very promising! You are going to need a lot of elbow grease but it'll be worth it. It would also be worth it to try to fix these forks you have.

Would it ? I prefer Rock Shox .. yep it’s gunna be a long weekend..
