Best thing to do is to bolt the tool to the bracket ,saves it slipping off,ps I've used a 68 x 113 with Shimano cranks ,and Yippee its 1k posts for me :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yup, bolt the BB tool onto the BB, you do have to back it off little by little as the BB cones undone. Saved me many a skinned knuckle & from the customers hearing my profanities


Sidewinder, I also hit the big 1000 posts today too 8)
 
Thanks to all above - Just so the answer is captured here the BB is a 68x110 - ordered new BB and the project's back up and running now!! will post up some pics once it's done!
