I picked this up a month ago in what initially looked a bit of a poor state, but on inspection it was just dirt and oil. I've stripped, cleaned and serviced it and there's not a scratch or bit of rust on the frame.

Everything is original except the stem and bars. The original had been cut into TT style, but luckily I had spare randonneur bars in the shed from a Dawes Galaxy.

It came fitted with a Nitto Crystemblue stem, but I wasn't overly fussed on it so sold it for enough to virtually cover what I paid for the whole bike.

Haven't been able to ride it properly yet other than a ride up and down the street, as I'm recovering from a knee operation after a fall three months ago, but it felt good and I can't wait for the summer when I should be riding again.

The Randonneur looks a lovely bike to eat up the miles. To me, the saddle and handlebars look particularly comfortable.

Re:

Thanks. I've got neck problems and haven't had the best of luck with drop bars in recent years, but I've tried to set it up so that I'm not too bent forward when riding. It feels good just sat on it in the shed and hopefully will ride well when I finally get to ride it.

I feel lucky that it came with the Brooks saddle and that I had randonneur bars and a short stem in the shed.
