94 Explosif build. Finished p7/8

Finally after more years than I care to remember I have an Explosif frame . Full build thread will follow. Tomorrow I plan to rediscover the many parts I’ve been hoarding for this expected build. I just need to remember where I put them all? . More pics once I locate them. My starting point is a bare frame. I’m not going for a catalog correct build, sorry. I’m looking to make this my main rider so will be using parts that I like, know work well, last the test of time and look good. Some will be older, some a little newer. I still have a few parts to source. Fingers crossed it won’t be a long drawn out build, I’m sure I’ve got all the hard parts already.

Managed to locate most of the parts, couple of items still to find but I’m making progress. First off, xt hubs to be fitted to these rims.

Secondly, stem will need the canti guides removed and it needs to be sparkle silver with new decals to match the forks. Impact needs a visit to the kero bath and ultrasonic cleaner at my work but should be good to go after that with the addition of new grease.

Shifting and stopping are sorted, although I can’t decide which levers to use?

And I do have a matching rear for this but haven’t been able to locate that at this point . I’m sure it will turn up

Oh and after moaning about the price of parts on another thread, I had a small spending spree on eBay last night for a few essentials. Nowt exciting, just new tyres, cables and grips. Pics on arrival lol.

I’ve had a stocktake, I can feel a wanted add coming lol. Silver seat post and clamp reqd.

Today I managed to pick up locally another couple of important parts I need to complete the build. Things are coming together nicely, the seat post and clamp still evade me though .
