The decorating is taking longer than expected now my bloody mother and sister are involved
Took a whole day to get a set of wall lights :shock: I had them picked withing 5 mins of arriving at the shop.

I've emailed rudy project and got the tantalising reply that ive contacted the US and to contact Europe as the bike was only released in Europe.
2nd email promptly sent off.Fingers crossed they might get back to me with some history

No. There was some of that 'crazing' that might be under the lacquer or corrosion, but as it wasnt bad i felt it best to leave it as is and get the rest of the bits together. I didnt want to add new decals to it, which would have added too much for my purse.


I think though if i were to do it over, id remove the decals(after many pics for Gil_m, our resident decal specialist) and buff the frame back to a burnished finish for new decals and a clear lacquer.

I reckon these are special just because they are so rare. Certainly plenty of other bikes from the history about and in numbers but these dont come along too often, and its got that unknown 'Rudy Project' that flummoxes people who have worn their sunglasses for years but had no idea they originally sold bikes.


If its any help to you the build on mine I guess was pretty original in its theme, and copying that -ano zokes, asno stem, post etc without going overboard it would look a real show stopper

I would love to find a period fork in the right color/anodizing.

But the ones I found that is era-perfect is the wrong color.
But I could paint it, it should be possible to match it to some modern color, something se three painted over silver.
Or I could go flat black, but I fear it could become boring to look at.

Do you have any period pictures of them? Is there an expert on Ruddy project/verlucchi frames out there? Was they all same color, back in the day?

That black looks a little boring compared to the purple!
But some color goes a long way.
