Yes its got the 1 1/4 headtube, but is not the beast of the east..

It will be going soon though as I am a steel man, just fancied a project whilst I am off the bike..

A lovely bike and some great pictures.

I'll have to get my camera out and take some pics of my similar '92 (or '93, not sure which) M800 Beast of the East. Mine's in white and not quite so retro as yours, but just completed.

The difference with the BoTE was the very high bottom bracket (about 13in) and the sloping top tube.

Yes I thought the beast had a sloping top tube, mine does not.. ?

Maybe earlier versions had a horizontal top tube.
