Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, i've looked but couldn't find anything.
Right, i've got what I think is a 92 Attitude, and I just bought what I think is a 93 Attitude. I came to put the Topline cranks from the 92 onto the 93 (to replace the XTR it currently has).
I've found that the chainrings of the Topline set foul the chainstays of the 93 but not the 92. Upon closer inspection, it's obvious that the bottom bracket of the 92 is much wider (not sure the exact measurements at this stage).
So my questions:
1) Do bottom bracket widths vary a lot on Attitudes, or can I assume that one of them has been changed for a different one at some point?
2) If there is a standard width, what is it?
3) Is there anyway i'm going to get the Toplines to fit the 93 framset without replacing the bottom bracket?
4) If I was to replace either bottom bracket, where could I get this done? Similarly if the headset ever needs doing? I'm based in Manchester and my understanding is that they require a special tool?
Apologies if these questions sound ridiculous, and thanks in advance for any responses!
