Hello. I'm new to the forum and could do with some advice. I am in the process of overhauling my old saracan to bring her back to the life she once enjoyed. What is the best way to source good quality retro DX/xt parts at affordable prices? I've also seen parts for sale on this site. What is the process of buying from fellow members? I am a bit of a dullard when it comes to the internet so advice would be welcomed. I have plenty more questions but slowly slowly catchy monkey...thankyou.

As well as Ebay, the best source of those parts is probably the 'MTB For Sale' section on here. You can also put a wanted ad up in the 'MTB Wanted' section too.
In terms of buying, you can respond to a for sale thread, and/or send the forum member a 'Private Message/PM' to discuss further. Click on the PM button which is included below each forum users post.
You can also check out a sellers feedback by clicking on their
button if they have one set up.

Thankyou for the response much appreciated. Some good info there. My frame is being shotblasted at the no then having a respray so I'm trying to get all the parts together to make the rebuild as easy as possible. My behind isn't looking forward to riding again but I am. Cheers for the advice...time to start shopping.
