I'm doing a 91 Merlin and I'm wondering if threadless is just "all wrong" for it, or if its acceptable. I need to order a type II for it, and I'm debating what to do.
So threadless was probably invented a few years before you'd have seen it on bikes, but what year was threadless introduced and shipping to customers?
Or am I overthinking this? Maybe threadless is just so awesome why would you want anything else? I do like some of the rise options that seem more prevalent with quills. Particularly when considering doing dirt drop Merlingham (east) Style.
