91/92 GT Timberline - Saved from the scrap pile

Hi guys and girls, this is the first of two GT threads I will be posting on ..
The story starts like most .. I was doing my daily bike search looking for bargains when I stumbled across this particular frame for free ! It had been on Facebook marketplace for a while and was destined for the scrap pile. The only problem is the stem is stuck, this doesn’t bother me as it’s only a “budget” build to zip down to the mrs in town when it’s dry and busy in the summer.

The following picture is after cleaning it up a little ...

The plan for this is to strip a very very rusty rotten bike and salvage what I can and try and spend as little as possible.

I have bought a box of bike bits .. will take a pic of them tomorrow and update the build

Would like to see anyone else’s timberlines like this for inspiration
