have you checked your "outbox" to see if the messages have been read? your sent messages sit in your oubox until they are read at which point they go into the "sent" box

10 days is not long at all for transaction on here. Is it a newbie or a long standing member? People are generally more relaxed on here, i'm sure it'll turn out fine.
