Well. ........
Not sure what went on exactly but I am now the proud owner of the cooks stem. The seller contacted me and said that the stem was available if I wanted it for the offer I made. I guess that I was the highest off auction bid. I suppose it was a bit like a Scottish house auction with sealed bids so no-one knew what anyone else had offered

.
Anyway..... Anyone on here get the frame? The seller gave me a better description of it but was said he was unable to take any pics as he was away. My best guess from the description is that it is a saracen kili flyer. the top tube had internal cable routing with arrow shaped brazings the frame was lugged with the exception of the headtube which was fillet brazed as well as the joint to the lug on the seat tube. Added to this that the original paint still present is pink. I checked and there are a couple of folk on here with pink kili flyers so that all adds up.
The frame sold for £35 inc postage so an OK price I think if it is a kili. Judging by the Tange label which looks in good condition (considering it was apparantly revealed from under the paint) there is a small chance that the original paint underneath might be savable :? . Well no harm in being optomistic
