Hi Paul

Just a quick question, when your Russell was refinished did it have the top tube cable guides added and the cables routed under the BB? Lovely looking bike :)

Shaun

The previous owner had the work done but I think you could be correct. I honestly can't remember what the details were when I first got it - and I don't have any photos either.

I've still not ridden it in its current state. I have a road chainset with 172.5 cranks which I will fit before it gets ridden.

Whenever that may ultimately be!

Saw this on Gumtree on Friday 30th October for £50 - left seller a voicemail and an email. Got ignored then the next day she had bumped the price up to £150.

Nevertheless, I like it a lot!

Yep that's the one. Like you in spotted it Friday night and left an email, not hearing anything I text very early Saturday morning and got a reply. She said that someone was going to view it at 10am,I explained that her price was too low and offered 150 and said that if the other bike was worth significantly more than £25 I'd also pay extra. She was very happy and cancelled the other viewing. I collected on Saturday at midday, I got two Nice bikes and she got a sum of money she was very pleased with.

A good deal for both.

Talking of your Hearne he am I in 1981 just after the start on the slip road to join the A46 Warwick by pass on a popular 25 mile course back then
