7 speed cassette to 8 speed??

Probably a really stupid question?? But! I've got an Alpinestars Cro Mega, and want to change gearing from a 7 speed to an 8 speed cassette, is this just a simple off an on job? Or do I have to get a new hub, wheel, or is it just that the cassettes are the same depth and the gaps between the cogs are smaller to keep width the same??

new wheel/hub I guess chap if its on the original kit.

Yeah, new wheel and hub, not a problem as I'm updating a few things! But I take it that a wheel with an 8 speed cassette will fit in the dropouts without a problem??

Change the freehub and redish.

Check the spacing between the rear dropouts if its 135 or more your good to go if its 130 it will be a bit of a squeeze.

I set mine up with 8 speed. M737 XT hub and cassette and it goes in the dropouts fine. I fitted M739 shifter/levers and it all works perfectly. I would recommend going to 8 speed as I'm not a fan of the push-push sti units that went with the 7 speed dx.
