Hello!
I recently purchased a touring bike online, and the seller had this bike available too that had been left to decay outside so of course I took it too. My original plan was to canibalise it for parts, but after a full strip and clean it seems too good for that, so offering for sale for £150 (posted):
Its a Raleigh Training 531 frame, type 8806 in the 1988 catalogue. Seattutbe is 58cm C-C, and Toptube 58cm C-C.
As per pictures, it is a bit tatty - especially under top tube, so treatment and lacquer freshly applied.
It has a Sachs New Success groupset including:
Front and rear mech, 7spd index down tube shifters, brake callipers and levers (by Modolo)
Crankset is 170 Campagnolo, complete with original bolts and caps, seat post is a Campagnolo 27.0 aero post
The saddle is an Iscaselle Giro D'Italia (which normally fetch good money, but this one is a little tatty)
Wheels are Campagnolo freehubs laced to American Matrix Titan II rims, with a decent pair of Gatorskin tyres
Bar and Stem are 3TTT and headset is a 105.
Pedals not included, but I can provide some flat Wellgo if needed.
I'll leave it up for a bit before considering whether to split for parts. All the best!
